Tatton Park’s Parkland and Gardens to remain open

Tatton Park is open for visitors to the Parkland and Gardens during the four-week lockdown period.

Plenty to do in the great outdoors

A new addition to Tatton Park’s Garden is Forest Bathing. Several sites have been set up, introducing visitors to the Japanese art of spending time beneath trees to boost health and happiness. And the ‘Gallery in the Gardens’ open-air art exhibition is being extended over the winter, so more visitors have a chance to see the striking wildlife artwork displayed amongst 50 acres of beautiful Gardens.

The Parkland offers 1,000 acres for you to wander as freely as the deer herds. The Stableyard is open with hot and cold takeaway from The Stables Restaurant and seasonal local and estate food and gifts from The Housekeeper’s Store. Children also have the adventure playground to let off steam. “Being outdoors and connecting with nature can really help improve people’s mental and physical wellbeing.” says Carole Hyde, Business Development Manager at Tatton Park. “With the Gardens, Parkland and children’s playground remaining open, we’re hoping visitors will make the most of our beautiful outdoor spaces in the next few weeks.”

Christmas events to look forward to….

The new Christmas trail in the Gardens

Holly’s Festive Feast; a Christmas trail around the Gardens, will go ahead as advertised starting on Saturday 28 November. Families follow the trail of clues around the Garden to help Holly the Hare join her woodland friends at the festive feast. For just £2 extra for a child’s party pack, this feel-good family activity is included in your Garden entry ticket.

Father Christmas at the Farm

“We’re sorry that Father Christmas won’t be able to visit the Farm on the weekend of the 28 and 29 November but we’re looking forward to welcoming him from 5 December” says Carole.

Food, drink and Christmas shopping in the Stableyard

The Stables Restaurant is offering warming food and drink throughout November including takeaway breakfasts from 10am, with festive treats appearing on the menu very soon. And if you fancy starting your Christmas shopping, you’ll find local artisan produce, estate-reared meats and gift hampers in The Housekeeper’s Store. A mini pop-up Christmas market is also planned for weekends from 4 – 13 December.

“We’re so happy to keep gates open to visitors for the Parkland and Gardens.” says Carole. “Any changes to opening arrangements will be shared on our social media channels and website, so please keep an eye out for updates.”
