Ansa celebrates 30 years of employee service

Employees at Ansa Environmental Services based in Middlewich, recently had a very special reason to celebrate.

Ansa, a wholly owned company of Cheshire East Council, was delighted to host events for 39 employees who have dedicated more than 30 years of service to local government and their communities. Special recognition ceremonies were held in Middlewich and Macclesfield, where the teams were presented with their certificates.

In total, the employees have amassed 1411 years of service between them, ranging from services such as parks, waste, business support, fleet and street cleansing.

The employee with the longest service was Joe Davies, who has recently retired after an incredible 47 years’ service to local government. He spent the majority of his career working for waste services in the north of the borough.

Chair of the Ansa Board of Directors, Councillor John Hammond, said: “It’s truly inspiring to see such dedication and experience from so many members of our team. With these events we have celebrated role models, whose loyalty, knowledge and service to their communities is invaluable to our Company. Of course, special recognition must go out to Joe, as 47 years of service is simply incredible.”

Ansa is fully committed to training and developing opportunities for staff to ensure such levels of long service and dedication continue and currently operates a highly successful apprenticeship programme. For further information, please visit www.ansa.co.uk.
