Members of Miss Caroline’s School of Dance in Crewe competed in the UDO Northwest Championships at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool on Sunday 25th January 2015 http://www.udostreetdance.com
The 'XCELL' street dance crew - Alex Worsley, Ben Worsley, Sam Davison, Zach McCullough, Connie Vickers, Emily Croshaw, Beth Lea and Caitlin Randell - won in their Under 18's category. Members of XCELL also took home the honours in solo competitions with brothers Alex Worsley and Ben Worsley winning their relevant age categories and Sam Davison coming 3rd in his age category.
Participants are judged on factors including timing, technique and difficulty of routine.
They are all members of Miss Caroline’s School of Dance and train twice a week at St Mark's Church in Wistaston.
Caroline Foxley (Founder and Principal of Miss Caroline’s School of Dance) said, “The UDO Northwest Championships were the first time that XCELL had danced in the under 18's category. To place first out of fifteen teams is amazing and proves just how hard they work and how dedicated they are. The crew are now back in the studio with their teacher Jack Robinson to learn a new routine for up and coming competitions, where we hope they will have more success.”
