Coram Boy’

The play ‘Coram Boy’ will be performed by the Cheshire East Youth Theatre Performance Group at Crewe Lyceum Theatre (https://crewelyceum.co.uk , Tel. 01270 368242) on Saturday 28th June 2014 (6pm). Tickets = £8.50 (£6 concessions). Ages: 11+ advisory.

A heartbreaking tale of orphans, angels, murder and music brought to you by the team behind Billy Liar (2012) and One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest (2013).

Set in 18th century Gloucestershire, Coram Boy is a gripping story about the power of human kindness to transform people’s lives. It tells the stories of Meshak Gardiner and Alexander Ashbrook, two young men of different backgrounds who nonetheless find their fates inextricably linked. Moving from cathedrals to orphanages, stately homes to slave tunnels, it follows Alexander and the child he never knew existed as they embark on a remarkable journey.

Features a large cast and choir, glorious live music and plenty of action.  Please note: no previous experience of Handel’s Messiah is required.

Cheshire East Youth Theatre (CEYT) performance group is for 17-25 year olds, and was created with the objective of providing performance opportunities, acting as a bridge for some into the professional industry. For more information on how to join and get involved contact CEYT Coordinator, Hayley Lindley, 07709180296 or ceyt@cheshireeast.gov.uk
