Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses following a collision between a pedestrian and a lorry in Crewe on the evening of Friday 5 July 2013.
The collision occurred around 1715 hours on the evening of Friday 5 July on Weston Road, Crewe when a pedestrian was involved in a collision with a HGV travelling along Weston Road.
As a result of the collision, the pedestrian suffered injuries which were fatal at the scene. The lorry driver was left shocked but uninjured.
The road was closed following the collision, and re-opened at 0045 hours on Saturday 6 July .
The deceased is believed to be a 39 year old man from Crewe.
Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses to the collision. In particular, the police are keen to speak with a woman who was in a car in Weston Road, Crewe at around 1700 hours on Friday evening - about 15 minutes before the collision occurred - and who may have been approached by the pedestrian.
