Local schools take part in ‘Rap and Snap’ competition

Four schools are taking part in a competition across Cheshire which has been open to 11-16 year olds.

The participating schools are Blacon High School in Chester, Kings Grove High in Crewe, Penketh High in Warrington and Bridgewater High in Warrington.

All pupils from each participating school have been asked to sing or write about what concerns them the most in their community.

There are two categories: RAP in which pupils will write or perform a rap song about an issue and SNAP in which pupils will take a photograph of an issue which concerns them.

Cheshire Police are to host Stage 2 of the competition from www.upbeat.uk.com/11-16 where public voting will be taking place from Friday 10th May. The public vote will be taking 4 x RAP entries and 4 x SNAP entries to the Grand Finale on 3rd June which will take place at Cheshire Police headquarters. All entries will be presented to an independent panel of judges before the winner of the best rap and snap is announced.

To vote for your favourite rap or snap, we are asking all children from 11 − 16 to please visit www.upbeat.uk.com/11-16.
