Police are appealing for witnesses to a robbery which happened in Newton Street in Crewe on 25 May 2012.
At around 1pm or shortly after, a woman was walking along Newton Street in Crewe.
As she approached the Oakley Centre close to the pedestrian crossing on West Street, a man came up to her and demanded money.
She handed over a quantity of cash and as she did the man grabbed her arm causing her an injury. The woman was left shaken by her ordeal but didn′t require hospital treatment.
The offender is described as white, in his 20s and of medium build. He had short shaved hair and was wearing a black t-shirt and black shorts.
At the time of the robbery two smartly dressed men were seen jumping over a low wall near the pedestrian crossing and a woman with a child was seen walking along Newton Street toward the West Street crossing.
Police are keen to speak to these people as they could have witnessed the incident taking place.
