Crewe police are appealing for witnesses after a driver failed to stop when he collided with a motorcyclist.
At 12.20pm on Thursday 9 February 2012 a white Vauxhall Corsa was travelling along West Street in Crewe towards the A530 Middlewich Road when it collided with a motorcyclist riding a blue Honda at the junction with Minshull New Road.
The Corsa, which has a sunroof, mounted the pavement for some distance before rejoining West Street and failing to stop.
Left at the scene was the Corsa′s wheel trim, indicator light, a piece of black trim and driver side wing mirror.
The driver is described as a white male, approximately 20 years old with short brown spiky hair.
PC Richard Woodward said: "The driver of the Corsa left the motorcyclist lying in the carriageway with shoulder injuries which required hospital treatment.
"Thankfully this wasn′t a serious injury but it could have been much worse.
"I would appeal for anyone who saw the collision or recognises the car in the picture to contact us. I would also appeal in particular for the driver to come forward."
Anyone with information should contact PC Richard Woodward on 101 quoting incident number 339 of 9 February 2012.
