People in the town had a laugh today as Asda did their price guarantee challenge on the square but who should come along but two guys advertising the new Tesco store that opens on Monday at 8 o'clock and will be a 24 hour store.
What was more fun was one of the lads took the challenge and Tesco won. People were concerned about Asda as when you go to get your voucher off the Asda website you have to fill in your name address, post code and email. What are Asda doing with the data? One of the girls rang head office and they say they throw it away. So why would you create a form on the website to collect this data if its not used? It links what you have bought and who you are and your address so they must be using it for something?
